Stopped by my local dealer last Saturday to get me some frame pucks. Had to be ordered but the parts guy said they would be in Friday at the latest. Come Friday after work, I haven't heard from them, so I give them a call before I head down there. They tell me that they are on national back order with no re-stocking date?!?!?! WTf man, at least call me and let me know! Anyone else having trouble getting them?

Folks in the know are checking on this. Sounds suspiciously inaccurate to me.

Make sure you get the cleaner/adhesive.

There are 3 items.

Left puck - does not come with cleaner/adhesive.

Right puck - does not come with cleaner/adhesive.

Kit - comes with both AND cleaner/adhesive.

Moral of the story: Get the kit with both and make sure the cleaner/adhesive is included. (it appears to have been missing from a couple packages - no idea if it was removed or never got in)

I'm with Blake . . .sounds odd.

: )

Yeah, unfortunately they are paid for so I know if I get my money back, they will definitely show up the next day! LOL. Thanks Court, I'll make sure I get the whole shebang.

Forgot to add that the parts guy said he was going to do a "locate" on them(4 hours before the dealership closed) to see if there were some around, but he never called back!

No problem . . . be sure if they don't have the primer/adhesive to call BUELL CUSTOMER SERVICE and let them know it was left out of the kit.

Different stores: I haven't had to order a lot of parts from my dealer, but they always tell me where the parts are, how many, and how long it would take. They've been pretty good so far.

Point is, it doesn't hurt for the dealer to say there's one left at the warehouse so we might have a problem, when the order is made.

Grumble grumble. Z, you can't find any dealers in the NY/NJ area that have them in stock can you?

There are 8 pages of dealers that DO have them.
Have your dealer do a check for them thru easy link.

When I got mine, years ago, they did not come with cleaner nor adhesive.

The adhesive was on the puck.

I cleaned the frame with alcohol and stuck them on.

No problems.

I suppose this has now changed.

Guess so - probably so you can glue them to the CF Frame rail guards - nice to know.

WOO HOO! Didn't realize that a dealer about 1 hour from me was a sponsor on here. Thanks to whoever the Buell manager is at Liberty H/D. Court - the kit had the cleaner/primer in it. Seems to be more then just isopropyl alcohol as the instructions talk about letting it set-up and then about it curing.

Glad it worked out.
I'm at home now on the 'puter.
Yesterday's answers were at work, on my iPhone.
