A diehard Harley guy I work with went to the Tifton, Ga Harley dealer (his local) and was shocked to walk between 7 Buells going through the front door. He asked what that was all about, they told him Harley is making a big push for the "non-cruiser" market and getting back prominent into racing. "Buell is their vehicle for all this". He said the guy seemed excited to talk about it. Not that this is big news to any of us, I just thought I'd share proof in rural GA, that its happening. It's great to hear as well that this "Harley only" guy is being won over, he said he is thinking about a test ride... Not that he'll buy one, he's just already spreading a positive word. (Mine was the first he had seen.) |

The HD-Buell dealer here has had a large display at the entry for quite a while. Starting to see a few around town. Thought I was the only one for a while. |

Walk into the Harley/Buell dealer up here and it is the same way. All of the Buells and merchandise is at the door. |

Here in Ottawa, Canada, it's like Buell is the ugly cousin that they try to keep in the back room. I've gone to several HD dealerships around here over the past year, and they all have 1 or 2 Buells, and usually they are all alone, being ignored by the chrome loving, image is everything crowd. You get the feeling that the Buells are just taking floor space away from the T-Shirt racks. It's a bit sickening... |

They also have the Buells at the front door here in L.A., though it appears that exactly the same bikes have been there for a while . . . |

>>>too bad the winning wasnt with a harley motor It was with, as it should be following 20 years of development, a BUELL motor. Buell is a wholly owned subsidiary of Harley-Davidson. Harley-Davidson was one of the firms that submitted a proposal to Buell's RFP to construct the Helicon motor. |

Close. Buell is a wholly owned independent subsidiary of Harley-Davidson. And I didn't know that Harley-Davidson was one of the firms that submitted a proposal to Buell's RFP to construct the Helicon motor. Interesting. (Message edited by BikerTrash05 on May 29, 2009) |

Mt. Diablo is now parking Buells by the front door as well however, I keep walking to the back wall where the 600 miles 08 1125R is for 7 grand and trying justifying it - lol - temptation is a hard thing. EZ |
