Wondering if anybody has replaced the rear isolator without going through the whole engine removal as outlined in the service manual. The problem I am having is that it feels there is something loose on the rear suspension, noticeable when the back wheel drops down into a pothole like bump. It also does not have the “zero driveline lash” anymore. I have unloaded the rear to see if anything was loose and couldn’t find anything. Swing arm bearings appear to be good, shock bolts are tight, and the rubber in the isolator doesn’t look like it has shifted. It does vibrate more than it use to and the clunking of the rear suspension leads me to the isolators. I had this problem before when the front isolator went, replaced that one and a few months later the symptom came back. Tried replacing the front one again but it didn’t make any difference. Now it is getting to the point where it’s not fun to ride.

I have 44,000 miles on my bolt and I bought the rear isolator already I am going to replace anyways. Hopefully somebody knows of trick to not disassembling the whole bike or a good way of supporting the frame other straps hanging from the ceiling.

Thanks
