While removing broken parts from my ’07 XB12S post-crash, I was surprised when unscrewing the primary cover bolt in the upper left corner. It made a slight hissing sound and small bubbles and some moisture came out! What on earth is that, trapped air in the tapped blind hole? The inspection covers were off the main primary cover, so the chain drive cavity was already vented. I haven’t touched the cover screws since buying it new.

No idea what would cause that.
