Hey everyone. I need to know if there is anyone in Washington state that is well versed in XBs. I have an 03 XB9s that is having excessive valve noise, and i think it has an intake leak. I took it to Eastside Harley in Bellevue, and they want to take the shotgun approach to it. Why fix the issue when you can rebuild the whole engine right? bah! I replaced the front head last season with great success, but now i think i have an oiling issue. Anyway, im no expert on the thing, and i would like to take it to someone other than harley to get another opinion. Anyone know of a Buell genius in Washington that could help me out? If you are talking dealer wise there are only two places to go (IMO). I have never gotten a good vibe from the bellevue dealer. If you take it to downtown HD (now in renton) make sure Kevin is the only one to touch your bike. I myself like the buell/hd dealer in Wenatchee. It is quite a ride for me, but they do know the product. | ||

+1 on Kevin @ Downtown Harley. Kevin is a highly knowledgeable certified Buell Mechanic/Technician. They also have a younger certified Buell Mechanic who is pretty good. Both own and ride Buell’s. Avoid the dealership on the west side of Puget Sound. I have no experience with any of the other dealerships and cannot comment on them. |
