So i was doing about 45-55 mph and the bike just died. I pulled off the road primed the engine and it started right up. This has happened twice now. Any thoughts? BTW its a 08 xb9sx w/ 1600 miles on it. | ||

+10 on the loose connections. that is the only issue i have had. but when it happind to me they were too loose to start the bike. popped the seat off and tightend them up and bang! fired right up. | ||

Another idea- Bank Angle Sensor (BAS)- it causes these same symptoms. If it happens again, try to cycle the kill switch while the bike is still rolling and see if the engine comes back to life. That'd be a pretty good indication it's a bad BAS. | ||

Absolutely the Bank Angle Sensor. Mine died 2-3 times. I took it to Twin Performance Tuners in Garner, NC and they diagnosed and fixed the problem. On my particular bike, the previous owner had relocated the BAS module with zip ties (who knows why). No problems since! | ||

When looking at the bas voltage using ecmspy, should the reading change depending on lean angle or is it an on/off type of deal. I seem to remember seeing 6.5v from mine with no difference between leaning on the sidestand and level. Mine works, I'm just curious. |
