Are they rare? What are they worth?

You mean the "rare" ones that are on ebay pretty much every time you look up the word Buell?

I don't know how rare they are but they are obsolete.

$5-$100. I paid $20 for the one I have with most of the paperwork.

It's just a little collectible trinket. Each one is numbered with an S2 VIN# so if it's your bike it's probably worth more to you.

The factory sent the kits out after the bikes and some/many got lost or misplaced or didn't follow the bike through ownership changes.

Got one? Found one? Looking?

You know what, I just realized... It's not the timing cover...

It's the clutch inspection cover... The rear one on the left side. It looks to be brushed aluminum and has a pegasus on it... Sorry for the confusion...

Pegasus timer cover $27.95 Canadian, six in stock, part# 32511-01Y
Pegasus inspection cover $55.95 Canadian, five in stock, part# 34718-01Y
Exchange rate is approx $1.25 US to the Canadian dollar.
These are not the S2 production number timer covers, these are the aluminum, satin finish covers with the pegasus logo. Why pay so much for the ones on e-bay.

"Obsolete" is such a cruel harsh word.
Reminds me of an old Twilight Zone show where someone was always being told
"You are ob-so-lete".

Oh well, obsolete career, obsolete bike, at least I'm synchronized.

I am pretty sure they won't fit an XB. The XB and the Blast are the same though. Crossroads makes a nice cover.

Hmm, I must be nuts... I could swear they were for the XB's. I could certainly be wrong though.

The timing cover off of the sporty & the Tube frame Buells will fit on either an XB or the Blast.

Obviously the derby cover wont however.
