can someone help me on this one? when i apply front brake the brake light does not come on!!

switch is under master cylinder with 2 wires connected. step 1 remove wires and connect together using a jumper. if light comes on-switch is bad. if light doesn't come on consult service manual for wiring diagram and start tracing.

I cleaned my switch with a bunch of elec. parts cleaner, and got it to work. I had the same problem.

I still have this problem. I just tap the back break whiling using the front to light her up...I'll look into this as well.

I took mine apart and cleaned mine with a piece of sandpaper. Its been fine since.

Chilli, I quite literally had your exact problem not 3 days ago. It's definitely that switch. Cleaning didn't help mine. $12 from American Sportbike for a new one. Took a whopping 30 seconds to install. Pull off the plug, press the brake to relieve pressure on the switch, remove the single screw, and the unit falls down. Reverse process.

Yeah, the new switch is the way to go. I cleaned my old one, got it working for a few months, and then it failed again. I got one from American Sport Bike, and now the problem is fixed.

Just had to fix mine for a PA state inspection... It was covered under warranty.

my connector sometimes falls off at the switch, maybe its as simple for you to just stick it back on
