I am not aware of any issues with VDSTS in Vista. It wouldn't hurt to run it in administrator mode, your right click the icon, and you will get a option for it. Shouldn't be necessary.

Thanks Froggy,

This administrator mode you speak of, thats when Vista opens Up?

Or once the software loads up?

By default, Vista is in administrator mode all the time (not secure). Doing the run as administrator thing is just a way of making sure the program will run with administrative privileges. All you do is instead of just clicking on the icon for VDSTS, you right click on it and pick Run As Administrator.

Hey Guys,

I just bought a new Laptop and have two kits of the VDSTS cables.Keyspan adapter, and software etc ...

I have tried to install either kit I have on the new Laptop which is running Windows Vista , and can`t seem to get it to open after the install...I thought maybe the New Computer was at fault ,so I took that one back and got another, Same thing....

Will this software run on Windows Vista????????????

IT seems to install ok, But when I go into programs and hit on the link to open up vdsts , a window pops up saying, " TechnoResearch Inc. has stooped working...

A Problem caused the program to stop working correctly.Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is availabe.

Well I am not holding my breath waiting for windows to find any solution as it never does....

Do I have to be hooked up to a bike even to open the program? When I installed the disk, a window pops up showing me 4 different folders, So I click on the Vdsts Satandard folder and go ahead and install that... it all installs But that damn window always pops up with that saying up above...

Damn just about time to take a Bix AXE to this new Computer and this damn software I`m lost.. Never had a problem with XP as the O/S but others have said they use Vista as well no problems and I do right click on it and choose: Run as Adminstrator...

I`m lost guys... Hope ya can help me out here, As I got no more damn HAir to pull out..Thanks
