Does the title have the name of the buy you bought from on it at all? If not, you simply need to contact the bank that had the lien on it and get a lien release form from them.

If he is, I'm afraid your only course of action is to have the guy in the middle transfer it to him, wait for him to get new title, and then transfer it to you. Lame. Best of luck.

Ya Ive gotta go with the second option unfortunately. Ya I need a little luck haha. Hopefully it goes smoother than it did getting the title in the first place.

by now i'd be upset enough to take a road trip to escort him to the bank, and then the sec of states office.

all that crap shoulda been done before he even took your money.

i sell a bike every year or 2 and i have never made somone walk away without a title.

Maybe it won't be that bad...most states have the ability to do the steps electronically...here in florida, title work like that used to take months...now it can be done in an hour.

He only lives about an hour and a half away but the bank isnt here. Like I said I have a title now but it has to be transferred. Its getting retarded. I just talked to him and he seemed like he was frustrated to and was going to take care of it. I dont know why the bank didnt send the title in his name in the first place.
