I received the D&D today and installed it. That sound is just plain wicked, gives me chills just thinkin about it. Thanx Dave! Build quality and paint look awesome, only one small negative. One of the tips has a flat spot, so it isn't perfectly round. The paint isn't scratched where it is bent, I guess it could have happened in shipping. It was wrapped really good. Anyway it is a small thing hardly noticable, I can live with it. Installation went well, no problems there. Everything fit up the way it should have. I did have to make a run to the hardware store for a set of alan wrenches (my brother got off with my old set). I also had to create my own 7/8 hex axle wrench (nobody had one in stock). I just used a 9/16 bolt, nut, and washer. I'm sure that has been done before. It looks great and sounds just plain bad ass. Tommorow I put in the race ECM and get a TPS reset. Hopefully the rain will go away tommorow, cause I won't know where I'm goin but I'll sure be gone! Jason |

Didn't your XB come with a toolkit containing the 7/8" hex axle wrench? Or is that what your brother ran off with? |

XB9er, I don't even want to hear that. And I thought I was being resourceful, I completely forgot about the tool kit, I've never used it. Now I'm gonna have to go out in the garage to see for myself!!! DOOHHHH!! |

I still can't understand the point in removing the wheel for the install as well |

what Bubba said. You need to loosen belt to remove idler pulley to get to the rear muff straps. Jasoneblue, my D&D had the same dent thing on the exhaust tip. Take a ball-peen hammer and give it a whack or two (with the ball side of the hammer) in the right spot and you'll never know the diff. I'm sure it's happening in shipping.

Yup just like Bubba and Noface said, loosening the axle releases tension on the belt, making it a breeze to remove the idler pulley. I'll try the ball-peen hammer thing. Jason |

Maybe there's something different about the idler pulley on the '04 belt setup. I was able to get at the rear clamps on mine by going through the pulley with an extension just like Spyder12s did. Now if I could just get this frickin' rain to go away. Mike L. |
