I am talking to a guy about buying some carbon fiber frame covers on ebay. He said his dad purchased them from a harley dealership in 2003 and never installed them. They look perfect but I dont know if he is just trying to get me to buy them or if dealers really did sell them? Help please! |

My dealer sells non-buell aftermarket parts, so I would say it is a possibility he could have bought them form a dealer. |

Cool, I wasnt sure if it was a possibility or not. If it did come from the dealer Im sure it is the good carbon fiber too |

Appleton HD/Buell had some that they were selling dirt cheap. They've been sitting on them for some time. Not sure if it was a Buell part or aftermarket, but they did have them. Give them a call to see if they still have any and see if you can talk them down a little more. |

They were never Buell parts - but were aftermarket. They were made by a few different folks. They are really for looks and don't provide any real slider protection compared to the stick-on frame sliders. |

Ok thanks guys, I sent an email to appleton asking. I found a set for 180 shipped and the guy says they are brand new and he bought them at a harley dealership. Im not doing it only for protection but mostly to further blacken out my bike. I was gonna mount some sliders off the frame that stick out further than the tank anyway. |
