OK I had a problem with my dealer while they where mounting and balancing a rear tire for me and they damaged my bike.I really dont want to get to far into it or slam them.I just need the customer service/comlaint/help 800 number for harley davidson AND buell I know ive seen it here before but was unable to find in search.

I will explain more on what actually happened after I get the number and speak with the rep and see what they are going to do.I hope this gets resolved otherwise there will be alot of BAD advertising for "Fort Myers Harley davidson/Buell" Trust me they will loose ALOT of business if this is not resolved.I have tons of connections in the biker community around here.

They are only open during the week but you may be able to leave a message with them tomorrow. Have your VIN # ready, they will ask for it.

buell customer service has been absolutely useless in dealing with stuff dealers have damaged in my experience. I've been through it.

Primary covers, swingarms, footpeg brackets, axle sliders.....

whatever you do, stay calm and work with the dealer as best you can. Buell won't do anything.

Yeah Fastxb12r, That is the one tool that a lot of people don't have the money or room for. I went in on a "No-Mar" benchtop machine with my friend ($300 each). Now all I need the dealer for is parts and new bikes. They also sell a trailer hitch adapter for the No-mar. If you split the cost with one or more friends it pays for it self after a tire change or two. They sell a cheap balancing stand as well.

>>>>Buell won't do anything.

Nor should they.

It's really none of Buell's business and asking Buell to act as a referee in a spat between you and your dealer would be unfair and unwise.

buell must control its servicing dealers and servicing technicians. The dealer network represents buell.

Buell can't control them in the manner you're advocating. It would be a breach of the dealer's contract.

You're best & only 'correct' course of action is directly with the dealer at fault.

If the Dealer can't/won't resolve the issue satisfactorily, there are other options, but they are ALL directed at the Dealer.

I hope it works out for you.

body man here.when any shop damages a customer vehicle, the shop carries insurance to cover it(ie fire, falls off lift, etc etc)
usually if it is minor it is better cheaper faster to just fix it.if they desire to be asses, they can charge the tech for the parts and make him re install.
so it is totally the responsibility factor here, you mess up someone's vehicle, you fix it.
i think if you can work on a fully dressed and chromed out HD,you can work on a buell and cause no damage as well.

the "its none of buells business" comment above really irritates me. buell and HD legal riff-raff aside, a buell should be buell's business, especially since a buell trained technician is the one servicing our bikes. if a buell dealer is mis-representing buell, it would be nice for buell to put a boot-in-the-patoot of said dealer....

but of course that's none of buell's business....

very frustrating.

i've already been through the dealer issues about 6 months ago. now i'm getting ready for another round.

just voicing my opinion about the matter and for others to work with the dealer and try to remain positive..... because buell can't help.

a buell should be buells business otherwise they will not have my business no more.Period.

as far as im concerned they can keep acting like asses and end up like every other american auto dealer.

That's a great way to keep customers coming back to the brand. I bet the dealer in question is a Pegasus award winner. Fast I have the same feeling you do I just paid of my Buell, guess what brand of bike I'm not considering for my next purchase?
