Just put skid plates on the side of your boots. When you see the sparks you know you've hit the limit.

yeah, My first track day the instructor said to take off the feelers. They just get in the way.

I also figured out to keep from wearing out your boots you need to put firebolt pegs on the lighting. The lightning pegs have a 1" drop and my toe plate would hit the pavement before I could get any lean angle.

I took the feelers off my bike after scraping one on a very tight turn at the track and almost stood the bike up.

They definitely got in the way and I have no plans on putting them back on.

I took them off after a stopped drop snapped off my footpeg. the feeler dug in before it could fold and it just snapped off.

I always wanted to know WHY the feelers were put on the pegs in the first place?

What lawyer made every manufacturer put them there?

the feelers are there just to stab you in the back of the leg.
