OK, so I was at Road America today with my firebolt going through the learning curves class to obtain my CCS race license and just as I get geared up and ready for the tech inspection and my damn bike wont start!

So here is what lead up to everything. Last night the bike was running great, I then pulled the muffler off and proceeded to gut it (not totally gutted just reworked). I throw the muffler back on and she fires right up and so I put about 15 miles on the bike, bike ran great but the torque was not what I was expecting, but without having a dyno I wasnt going to rely on the butt dyno. So I kill the bike and safety wire up the bike and then go to bed.

So today after it wouldnt start I figured the issue was probably plugs. So I went over and talked to Henry Duga and he set me up with a new set of plugs and I throw them in. Well the plugs wernt the issue.

I also checked all the fuses (even the non-pertinant ones) and I swapped out the relays. I also pulled a plug and cranked it and I DO have spark. My fuel pump does turn on and cycles but when I crank her over she wont fire.

So now that i've ruled out the easy stuff does anyone else have any ideas for me????

Double check the contacts on the safety switch?

Maybe the gutted pipe messed up the 02 sensor? Getting any trouble codes?

No trouble codes- Thats the distressing part. I am going into this blind.

Contacts on the safety switch- Which contacts might you be referring to? If any safety switches are tripped the bike wouldnt even turn over correct? (i.e. pulling my headlight fuse).

Sorry, read too fast and missed where you finally had spark.

How strong is your battery on a load test?
