Why is that totaled? Only real damage I can see is a cracked fairing support, possibly a bent subframe, and a scraped swing arm. The rest looks like lite scrapes, no frame dents. | ||

IDK, Being and estimator for a body shop I'd say that because of the color molded plastic any body panel that is scratched would have to be replaced along with the fairing mount and swingarm. Not sure of prices for these parts but NADA values the bike at $6500 average retail. In NC it only takes 75% of NADA to total it which would be $4875. Also depends on if it was the insured or claimant's bike. If it was the claimant they would be due diminished value and that would also be taken into consideration. Again, that's in North Carolina, not sure about PA or other states. | ||

Zatco81, right on scratch parts being replaced, same w/powdercoated. Also think Harley shop labor rates. In Pa,no deminished value but we need 2 different values [nada & another] then average of both. then my co. uses straight repair cost verses value of veh. [not a %] With Salvage Direct you can go to yard and look before you by but you need a dealer license to bid. I have bought rebuilder cars there before. | ||

Yeah, one of the body guys at my shop buys stuff there all the time. If I had the cash I'd get him to bid on it for me but...I posted it here. | ||
