I don't see many options for seats for the XB12Ss in Buells 08 catalog.Can't get my hands on an 09 book yet. Does anybody know if they've offered any new fitment options for this bike? I like the looks of the Select Seat, the streetfighter, or even the Skyline. The catalog doesn't show them as fitting the '09 long though. Does anyone know why? Is the seatpan made different, or is it because the seat mounting rails are longer on the Ss?  | ||

I believe your only buell option is the touring seat, much lower. Then there is custom and aftermarket. Its the longer seat rails I believe. | ||

How will the s conversion affect the seating position? I'm 6'6" tall and need all the room I can get. I assume the seating position is the same, just a shorter seat? Could anybody give me dimensions for the standard S rails so I could compare them with mine? | ||

I just did an S to SS tail swap on my bike and trust me...the SS rails are about 4" longer. The seating from my Select to the stock SS seat is about the same, but the Select seat is firmer IMHO. If you went to an S conversion a Skyline (aka CityX) seat would probably be your best bet considering your height. It's the tallest saddle for the S. | ||
