Will a 2004 XB9 (Y0152 3A8 04181) ECM work on a 2006 XB9SX (Y0152 3A8 05145)? Mainly I want to use it for testing, I think my stock ECM is problematic. Will I need to load the 06 map on the 04 ECM? I have not done this before so if that needs to be done will someone point me to the directions for that process?

I tried to search on this but there is A LOT of ECM post (mainly ECMspy related) and I just couldnt see to put in the right search string to get the result I was looking for. At first I figured there would be a ECM cross reference sticky in the knowledge vault under electrical.

Thanks!

Yes it will. Be sure to reset the TPS but the ECM should run the bike just fine. If it was an 03 ECM things would be different but you should be good to go.
