Chain drive has been fitted to give more acceleration and cause less damage from stones from off road sections.

I've had my 12R about 8" in the air a couple times. It lands quite nicely from what I can tell.

Jumped my 9s off one road onto another one time. It was about an 18 inch drop, not to cool!! Flattened the front of my muffler nicely. I do jump the occasional curb without problems but usually I wheelie back into the street.

I just have a good sized dip (about 25-30' wide and about 6' deep) in the road I live on. The exit on the way to work makes a decent ramp with a small lip of pavement at the top. I wasn't really trying the first time, just in a hurry to get to work. I knew it would get light but didn't expect any air at all. The second time I intended to do it and got a little more air. No damage at all to the exhaust as I landed with the front about 3" above the rear on the gas slightly. I guess all those years of riding dirtbikes paid off. I don't make it a habit though, that's what I'm picking up a KLR650 for this weekend.

M1...You are going to love beating the tar out of your KLR. Not to mention with the huge aftermarket, it will most likely become another money pit for you. Won't be long and I will have another one in my stable. Everyone needs a Dirty Street Bike to work out their frustrations!
