OMW to work today it got really hot. No check eng light, it just died on freeway at 80mph. Pulled off road and frame was almost to hot to touch. Oil was good just changed 2k ago. Fan did not come on!!!! sat on side of freeway for over an hour and let it cool. No go just crankes and crankes. I am afraid ill have a huge bill unless it can be tied to a problem with Buell's electrical, eng, whatever. Hoping it is their fault. Any info on this prob let me know. |

as long as you haven't done any type of mods that would void it. Simply replacing your dash overlay voids the warranty...i know. |

Dumb question based on so many bikes coming into the shop with the mystery death: you do have gas in the bike? |

Haha, yes gas was fine. Light just came on when it died then went out. put 1 gallon in and never restarted. Only mod i have is a HID low beam light. Battery connection was fine seeing how well it cranked over. I did disconnect and reconnect it just incase. still no go. will be taking it into the shop here shortly. Mods will not void your warranty unless said mod specifically caused the problem at hand. At least that's the law in The Republik Of Kalifornia. |

the fuel pump fuse is possible. I did not think about that one. Dropped it off @HD said on fri their buell guy will look at it. I informed them that fan never kicked on and the fan has never come on while eng was on, only after shut off. they sound like they have an idea of what may be going on. |

My 2008 Uly has blown three fuel pump fuses and the dealer can't find the reason. All three have been when the low fuel light was on. |

my fuse went about 9 miles into the fuel light being on. can go over 20mi after the light comes on. they made it seem like me being low on fuel was the big problem. wont be letting that light stay on long anymore. |

Others have complained about wear to the fuel pump wiring. I'd start with that information and look for bare wires or worn insulators. Black tape to the rescue. |
