**** YEAH, it's gonna be fun !

Leather boots, long pants, leather jacket, leather gloves, and a SNELL 2000 or newer full face helmet with faceshield. Leather pants are necessary if you come through the trap at 120 MPH or faster. You can back off the throttle or hit the brakes if you're that fast and get around that rule.

I read on the Jersey forums that I need to have a remote kill setup in case I fall off, yet I see nothing about it on their website?

I wonder if they would let me by with my 1 piece Aerostitch.

Work boots are ok right? Are you sure gloves have to be leather? If I go I might just watch the first time.

Hey Augustus74, I have extra leather gloves as well. I will bring a few gloves and jackets maybe even some Sidi's.

Yes work boots are acceptable if you lace them up.

How do you guys ride without gloves ? Just the idea of leaving my irreplaceable hand skin on the road scares the crap out of me.

I've always had a thing for nylon, not leather. I have been thinking of getting a 1 piece leather suit, but I would look out of place a the BMW conventions, I can sometimes blend in fine with my Uly-thing.

You guys that are experienced need to watch over those that aren't...it's fun at the dragstrip...but not so much if you loop the bike on the starting line...and you all know how short the wheelbase on Buells is...so lets keep em shiny side up...and leave the 1.10 60ft times to the guys with big ole slicks n bars...

And please be careful in the shutdown area....slammin the throttle off and grabbin a bunch of brake can get you some serious tank slapper action...a friends wife crashed hard there a few years ago...I guess the shutdown is (or was) a little rough...but she was going about a buck-30....anyways....best o luck...wish I was there...a few hard passes are better than a trip to the chiropractor.

Bad news, I am not going tonight. I still got things I need to get done for my trip tomorrow, and I won't have time to drive the 2hrs each way to the strip. I will see you all next time.
