My bike currently has red rims. I'm looking at switching to either black or silver. A couple of guys have offered to straight swap silver rims. I have a black frame though. Anybody have pictures of an XB with silver rims and a black frame? Thanks, Rex | ||

No, I don't want the amber/gold rims. Thanks though. Silver or black -- black is preferred. However, silver looks really good on your bike Randomchaos, thanks for sharing the pic. I'm tempted to go that route since the rims are available. | ||

Heh, link I posted isn't my bike, just another recent post I saw on here of another members bike. Figured it was a perfect example of what you were looking for  . I do like the look of the silver rims too though. Nice contrast, and rarely seen on Buells. | ||

Of all the wheel color choices Buell now offers, I can't understand why they dropped silver. Could the silver wheels have been that much more work to produce? I'm wondering if the powder coating now used covers what would otherwise be considered cosmetic flaws if they had no coating? Obviously not the black frame you were looking for, but here's my XB:   | ||

My 04's frame was powder coated Ti color and black body work with CF CAI air box. (Enough acronyms? lol) It had the silver wheels on it. I don't meen to sound arrogant but it was the best 12R I'd ever seen (my personal opinion) and it was mine, all mine, until it was totaled. I'll see if I can dig up a pic.   | ||

Rex, thanks for the compliment. Funny part is I saw your ad wanting to trade the red for silver, and considered trading. I have too many sets of plastics (solid red, black, yellow, Translucent Blue, a custom airbrushed set, and the Kick Ash on the bike pictured, so I think I'll just keep my silver wheels. | ||
