Posted this in the Knowledge Vault but haven't gotten any feedback...any one have any ideas?

Hello, ran through all the tests for no starter turnover. Checked battery voltage, checked relay, and a couple of other things, everything checks out fine. Fuel pump comes on and pressurizes the system whenever i flip the key and cutoff switch to the on position.

It sounds like my starter is out. Can anyone give me a price on what a starter would run? Is it Buell specific or would a Sportster starter work? Anyone think it may be something else?

Did you try to start it while holding the clutch in?

I bet the starter button has corrosion at the connection. You can disassemble it and clean the contacts.

Roro,
Did you have any luck with your problem?

Maybe someone here has some other suggestions.

If you apply 12v to the solenoid, does the start engauge? If it does look for a wiring/switch problem.

Feel the b+ cable at the starter when you press the switch. If the starter is locked the B+ cable will feel really warm. Tap the starter with a wooden broom stick while pressing the starter button. If she fires over then the brushes in the starter are shot!

Thanks for the feedback. Always start with clutch in, just a habit of mine.

I was wondering if it just might be corrosion at the switch. I'll try that out next.

Cables all look good, no noticeable corrosion. We did try applying voltage to the solenoid, no luck.

Found out I did buy the extended warranty so I'll be dropping it off at the shop. Will post up what I find out. Thanks for the feedback.
