...the oil light doesn't come on and STAY on when you turn the key on does it? I don't remember it doing that and I don't want to bugger the bike out of impatience to get out and ride...and of course its Sunday and no service dpts. open to ask. On the same track where should the oil level be and what are your oil check routines/methods...since I am asking questions and all.

sorry for the dumb question but the winter has been loooooooong here.

Its suppose to be on, if it wasnt when you turn the key on, then the LED would be bad. Until the engine is on, there is no oil pressure, so it will be on. Bet as soon as you turn her on it will turn off.

how long until it goes off? just being extra careful...you know how a little doubt can get to you. Thanks for the quick response though...funny what you forget over the winter ya know?

thanks, everything looks good, bike starts and light goes away. Gonna do an oil change and get out riding tomorrow...before I forget that too.

Next winter do the oil change prior to storing it. I apologize if you did and are changing the storage oil cause your extra careful.
