Strange to post that my fan's TOO Quiet!

But the fan is dieing in a strange way, no rattle! Just blows the fuse when it tries to start. ECM throws code 36, bad fan or shorted wire in fan wiring.

Luckily it's under warranty AND the guys at Gover H-D/Buell are cool. They ordered the fan based off what I said BEFORE they've even seen it! That'll save me a 50 mile trip if they waited to order it until after they'd seen it. He said he normally had one in stock but sold it last week, so if it's not the problem no big deal!

I really want go for a ride before the weather gets nasty again BUT not to the point of frying my motor!

Did you take a look at the fan itself?
Mine died one time, what killed it was it sucked up a candy wrapper, and got stuck between the fan and it's guard.

I checked the fan and it turns, nothing in it to jam it. I wanted to unplug it and check it out per the shop manual, BUT looks like you gotta yank the shock and pull the fan just to get the wiring loose. So I'll let the guys at the shop do that as I'd still have to take it over to get it cover under warranty Anyway weathers fixing to turn nasty so I wouldn't be out anyway. (Sound like sour grapes to you too? )
