Whenever I hook my bike up to ecmspy, for some wierd reason, it's having trouble connecting, all I get is a "failed to get com port" message. Then if I go to troublecodes, it says "failed to get firmware version... Exiting now!" so does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Rather then start yet another new ECMSpy thread, figured I would tack this question onto this one. I'm looking at making a cable, but see that there are 2 different USB cables available. One appears to be a 3v and the other is a 5v. Which one should I get to make the cable? Both are priced the same.
