Hey Guys, I wanted to get some rock solid, (ie Dyno proven!) info on the techclusion, pc III boxes . We raced go karts nationally and built all our motors and just recently sold our dyno. We used Mikuni and tillotson carbs with some crazy fuels wayyy beyond methanol alone. We now build drag cars and play with mechanical FI and do some crazy Holley dominator CNC work. So Daves carburator job sparked some ideas and I wanted to get some solid info about the advantages vs. disadvantages of the two boxes that we can use on our XB's. Thanks guys.

Well I'm not the most qualified to answer this question as I just ride, race, crash and sell Buells. I don't wrench. I leave that up to my trained techs. They could not make either box work on my bike with the mods we have done, so we gave up and put a carb on it. I'm not saying that no one could make it work but I need my bike ready by April 19th and was tired of waiting, testing, trying.

Aaron? Bubba?

The PC3 allows a real map, i.e. a matrix of throttle position and rpm, with a number in each box that represents a fuel delta (a signed number). You set it up with a load control dyno, that's the only way to hold a given rpm at most throttle positions.

The Techlusion box is much simpler ... see their web site, look at the instructions for any of the Harley boxes. Basically just some potentiometers that act like surrogate jets, but you can only go bigger, not smaller. They have traditionally had just one box for all HD/Buell applications, the FI1040. I understand they're working on one to work with the Force pipe, but since that pipe is on hold, I haven't heard any more about it.

The factory has a fully programable module that is altered via a lap top or PC. They have sent us a few to work with our race bikes, at this point I do not know if they will be available to general public, but I do believe they will, most likely in kit form. Something to hope for as I know it is available, just a matter of when at this point I would think???

I like the sound of that! Thank you. Oh boy, I can see lots of dyno time coming soon!
