OK so I have been wanting a camera mount and not wanting to spend the money I have been wondering what to use.Wellllll I could of mounted a camera on my bike ever since I owned it and didnt even know I already had the parts......What I had was I have a security system on my house and I had a extra camera well dumb me didnt think well camera ummmm camera mount DUMB...So this is basically what I used the camera mount off of a security cam I will post in motion pics&videos when I get it finished on the road.I looked on the internet and you can buy a fake camera from northern and use those mounts since they are metal just like the real ones I have. http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/serv let/product_6970_200321945_200321945 http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/serv let/product_6970_200321947_200321947 ORRRRR you could just buy this which I just found on the site and am going to buy and try????? http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/serv let/product_6970_200321245_200321245 ANYWAY heres my pics...

Looks good. And nice job solving your problem efficiently. I want to see the pics/video. Cause that's what really counts with camera mounts. |

How about some action photos. It looks nice, but I'm concerned that it may be a little flimsy and shaky. Might be a good idea to tie the camera on with your safety strap as a back up in case something unforeseen happens. Otherwise you'll get great video of your camera falling off of your bike and bouncing down the road. |

I LOVE that your bike is your living room! And yes ASAP on a video from that thing! |

yeah theres nothing like sitting in the air conditioning, drinking beer, watching a game and working on the bike with friends over all at the same time. It's mans version of multi tasking. I wont get the video for a little while as I am waiting on my tires I ordered so for now thats where she'll be. I can however tell you this camera mount is solid as HELL I can grab the camera shake it and the only way it moves is if the bike itself moves.I also fitted up my camcorder to it the only reason I dont want to use that is its one of those Harddrive camcorders and I would imagine it would possibly hurt the HD with the motor vibrations. Also just so everybody knows I replaced all the stock nuts and bolts that came with the mount with Stainless locking nuts and stainless bolts and used loctite on all parts. |
