I was told that I couldn't do this when I was rebuilding my bike, but I found this pic of a xb9r that i saw at MotoGP in 2006. Just curious if anyone has done this or know where he found the bases, or know the bike? Its definately looks like an xb motor......

My guess is that those tubes are from a sportster.

It seems like it would require sportster lifter blocks and heads also or at least some machine work done to Buell heads to make the tubes work.
Again, I'm just guessing.

There is a highly modified red XB9S that has been pictured in the 2006, 2007, and 2008 Buell literature. It has the individual pushrod tubes as well.
It has a 6 page feature in the "Buell Book" by Huber Verlag. (A super book, by the way) I don't read German, but I can make out Hillbilly-Motors in the text. There is a closeup photo of the pushrod base that reads: "Die StoBelstangen des bulligen M-TeK Motors haben sich von ihren lieblosen Plastikkasten befreit. Das ewige Auf und Ab findet nun standesgemaB hinter klassischen Pushrodcovern von Zippers statt"

I'm not sure exactly what is said, but I can make a couple guesses. Can anybody translate German?

From Babelfish:
" The StoBelstangen of the bulligen M-TeK of engine freed itself from their dearless plastic box. The eternal on finds now standesgemaB statt" behind classical Pushrodcovern of Zippers;

From Google:
The brawny StoBelstangen of the M-Tek Motors have evolved from their loveless plastic box free. The Eternal is now on standesgemaB behind classic Pushrodcovern instead of Zippers

LMAO!!!!
