Here is my version of an adjustable shifter. The first hole is 1.1:1 ratio of the factory setup, then 1.3, 1.5, 1.7:1. Just to share my idea with you guys : )

Interesting concept, I remember the older heel-toe set up that were popular many years ago on some of the Italian(?) bikes back in the 60's and 70's.

What is it like to ride with?

I've had the shifter like that since I bought the bike, some 5400 miles ago, it's nice to have the boot right in between the 2 shifters, but the travel of it is waaaay too much, so last week I made it adjustable. The problem was that I have to lift my foot off the peg to shift and on the downward stroke the upper shifter starts to press against my foot, I made the two shifters as close as possible for my boot, but the freeplay of the tranny is too much to make it worth it. That's why I went with adjustabillity towards less travel, at the expense of harder shifting. I haven't used it yet, but on the 1,7:1 hole is pretty damn hard to find neutral, bike not running. It might be better while riding, I will update once I get it on the road.

Appreciating your work but...

the shifter already is adjustable.

What I'm looking for is an adjustable brake pedal. That only has a small range of adjustment. Once I put the lower pegs on my bolt, I can't get the brake low enough without modifying the pedal or the brake cylinder.

My first bike had a heel-toe shifter.
With foot remaining on the peg.
Down on the toe to upshift.
Down on the heel to downshift.

Neutral at the bottom.

I liked this setup.

his mod lets you adjust the amount of leverage and throw between shifts. pretty trick. the adjustable link only moves the position of the peg up/down.

i would think that one could get a lighting's brake-bolt-thingy (technical term)and swap it out.
or chop it off at the end and make a longer bracket .... say, by about 1" longer?
