Hey everybody I need an oil pump asap if anyone had one they want to sell. I need it for my 2004 XB12R because the oil pump drive gear decided to go out on me sending nice little chunks of metal through the pump and now it will hardly turn and it messed up the teeth on the gearshaft for the pump. If nothing comes up here then I will go buy new but hopefully something does come up. You can email me at curtcreps@hotmail.com and I have money in my paypal account that I can send you just let me know how much, thanks.

Just a Q but How important is that High Performance Oil Pump Drive Gear? I have a 05 9s with 19k on the odom. Is this some thing I should be considering? How important is this upgrade?

i can always get him a new one, but they sure arent cheap!

i am also worried about how much metal made it into the motor, or how much metal is still in the lines, cooler or passageways.

help my poor old bike...

Im definetly worried about how much metal got in there too. Im hoping that it all happended at once instead of just alittle bit at a time and then just decided to stop working. When I removed the drain plug there was just a tiny bit of shaving which looked like noting at all almost microscopic. When I removed the case thats where the real nice chunks were so hopefully the oil filter caught alot of it but thats the reason for replacing the pump because a couple of peices got down in there and messed up the teeth on the feed gerotor so it catches everytime it makes a rotation. I removed and cleaned out all the lines and oil cooler as to the best of my ability. So when I get this put back together I am going to start it up for awhile let it run and see if its ok. If it is then I will drop the oil again put a new filter on and tear it all apart again just to double check everything is ok and then replace all the gaskets.

Its not a good day for XB's if you were to look in my garage
