I am looking at an Icon Motorhead Leather jacket ($100) and was wondering what you guys take on it is. I really want a Vanson from my local HD dealer that is $499 on sale for $399, but I cant afford it. I really wouldnt mind a used one.... | ||

i have bought several used vanson jackets on ebay. i love the simple styling and heavy duty nature of them. i am sure the icon is a good jacket, but it seems like so much bling. almost style over substance. at least that is the impression that i get. btw, i paid about $200 for each vanson. | ||

That jacket retails for 350, so 100 seems like a good deal. I got a smokin deal on a timax jacket, but it's got thin armor and really is only good for going to the grocery store, not serious riding. Just make sure it's what you want. | ||

i've got a ICON "burner" jacket and the attention to detail is second to none. it vents well ,looks awesome, but the fit of the collarless upper kinda irratates my collarbone area.(may not be a perfect fit ). make sure you try it on & are good with the feel . | ||

Im not really too much bling factor, it is the solid black Icon. Ive spent a good bit of time on Ebay and I guess I am just not patient enough. We have a couple of extra mouths in our house trying to help them through a rough time. It is weighing on the wallet and will be for a while. Vanson IS what I want...but.... | ||

I have the Icon Motorhead jacket. Been riding with it for almost 4 years. I like it. If you can get one for $100, I would suggest getting it. If you don't like it you can always sell it and break even or make a little profit. | ||

I have the Icon Motorhead in all black and like it a lot. Not flashy at all. I read the reviews and decided it was the best for the money. | ||

From checking Icons site, it should fit. I think I'll go for it, the worst that can happen is, I post it here for one of you guys to snatch up. | ||

tried icon and vanson. icon serves its purpose, but doesn't compre to vanson quality. if you put miles on and drive in bad weather you won't regret the vanson. my icon leaked like a m-f. | ||

thanks for you guys input. I told the guy I'd take it, but he doesnt want to have to ship it. (Im paying for that as well.) (He lives in Rincon GA 178 miles away). Oh well, at least I have a good bit of input on it now if I find another. | ||

Yea your pretty much gonna like it. if you dont let me know and ill get it from you for $100, thats a really good price for that jacket, i have a few Icon jackets and they are awesome. good in cold, warm, and wet. Kinda heavy but that just makes me feel safer. |
