Did anyone check out the Buell shop in Daytona? It was actually very nice, Its seperate from the harley shop which was wierd, but i didnt have to wait in the long bike week parts line to get a voltage reg. Its a Buell, Ducati, Triumph, And authorized Icon dealer. It was at Destination Daytona, they had a ton of bikes, but they could of just had a bunch of stock for bike week. But it was nice, I was just wondering if anyone noticed that it wasnt attached to the harley shop.

I'm very sure the Harley shop likes it that way.

Yea, I was disapointed in the Harley shop, i went down thursday night to bike week and my voltage reg went out as soon as i got there, so i called the harley shop three times and got hung up on all three times because it was 7:30 and they closed at 8. That was before the harley front desk transferred me to the buell shop, they were actually really cool, I got there at 8 friday morning and they had my part waiting on me.

The Buells used to be in the H-D building, but they were moved to Arlen Ness Triumph/Ducati. Rossmeyer's daughter, Shelley, is part owner of the Arlen Ness store, and I guess they decided it made more sense to have all the "performance" bikes together. I think it's great- the farther away from H-D Buell gets the better. Shelley is really nice, and everyone I've dealt with at Arlen Ness has been professional and knowledgeable. It's a smart move.

Yes, Arlen Ness is "gone" from that location. It's Shelley running the show. Great gal, as well as the rest of her staff there.

Happened about a week or so before Bike Week. When I was there, they were still moving parts over to the "new" location.

They must be waiting for the scoops that don't fall off to come in.

Yeah, they probably wish they had gone with stock.

What are the rules in that class of allowable changes from stock?

It would be more interesting, to me, if only safety changes were allowed.

The bikes were pretty damn close to stock. I read on here the suspension and brakes were stock.

I believe they went "non-stock" in order to improve cooling- the rads are relocated from stock. It may be the case that leaving everything stock would put the Buells at a distinct disadvantage to bikes with conventional designs.

Stopped by the new "Shelly Rossmeyer Motorcycles of Daytona" today, which btw prominently displays Buell motorcycles and accessories in a classy and tasteful setting, along with Ducati and Triumph. Great motorcycles all together and Tony Angelo too.
It's about time these bikes got a store worthy of their overall greatness.
Way to go Shelly.

now could we just stock a few essential parts? hmmmmmmmmmm

I can't find a website for Shelly's dealership. Everything leads back to her father and he lists no Buells!?!?!?

My son James (Honda RC51) and I went by Rossmeyer to check it out. Way, way, better than last year. Decent selection of bikes, accessories and shirts, etc. I bought a tank bag for my XB12Ss and installed it in the parking lot, which was packed!
We also visited Seminole Harley/Buell in Sanford (NE of Orlando). They had a great Buell selection, were enthused about the 1125, and also had a bunch of shirts, jackets, and accessories. See James (not my son) for parts, he knows Buells and rides one! I was very pleased to see 2 local Daytona area dealers promoting Buells. My local dealer snubs us (imagine GMC dealers not working on Chevys!). I use John's V-twin in Savannah since he also helps promote and work on Buells. Support your local Buell promoter!!
