Taking a 1 mile an hour right hand turn in the parking lot of Burger King of all places...

Broke the front brake lever and the right side peg. A few lateral scratches on the Mirror, bar end and blinker. No damage at all to the frame or anything else. Lucky me : ).

To top it off... I pick up the bike, walk in and order and they don't take anything but cash. Couldn't even eat there...

i am wondering what a front lever costs. i took a hacksaw to mine already. thought it was too long. seemed like a 2 finger brake with a 4 finger lever. so i bobbed it. i have not welded the little ball end back on yet. M1 sorry about the spill. did the engine cough or sputter to cause your lack of forward motion or was it a traction issue?

Thank you.

Yeah, I'm glad I'm ok... but more glad that I didn't dent the frame or anything : ).

No slipperyness at all... just dumbass me on the brake lever. Lots of bite on the ol' ZTL system.

It may have coughed I suppose, but I don't think so. It was warm, the idle was just set at ~1025 and I wasn't really being very careful. I think the ZTL brake demands being careful.

I think I'll chop the next one. If it was 3" shorter I don't think it would have taken a hit.

I too am a member of the 2mph WTF just happened drop!

The lever is attached to the master cylinder and you have to replace the entire assembly.

Part no: N0200.02A8

I have one still in the box if anyone is interested.

It looks as though the lever would be easy to remove all by itself. I would imagine that someone sells a lever w/o the whole reservoir...

I think you are talking about different parts. The front lever is available separately. The part number that you mentioned is the entire assembly. The brake lever alone is:

Part number: N0202.02A8
Cost: $23.93 (minus badweb discount)

We have one in stock.

I am running the OEM tires. So far I've been happy with them, but I don't have anything to compare them to.

When mine went down in a low speed turn on cold pavement (maybe some sand & salt) it was like a sheet of greased glass. I suspected the tires had something to do with it and since switching to what I consider decent tires I kick myself for not switching sooner, YMMV.
