My front header stud broke, i already have an appointment monday to have my clutch cable holder thing replaced and im within my 2 year warranty. That stud should be covered correct? The only thing im concerned about is my bike has gone down on the right side and i have that famous little ding in my header and i dont want them to blame the header getting hit on the stud breaking. The stud was there on my last visit and just broke and the damage was all marked down last time (bike went down a while back) so i should be i hope.?.?

Just tell em its broke and you would like it under warrenty the bike is designed to take an impact anyway as long as its a stock exhaust you shouldn't have any problem. Harley pays the dealer for warreny

Not questioning that but tell us how you know that. It's the first I've heard.

Your accident insurance should also cover it. - It was most likely from the fall.

If the dented header is putting a side load on the studs the only fix would be to replace the header and repair the broken stud. Is this a defect in materials or workmanship?Should Buell replace the damaged header and repair the stud?

The dent is like the size of a dime and ive had problems with the front header studs loosing nuts since i bought the bike. And i feel like a fallover did not break the stud off since it fell over quit a while before the stud broke, i just wanted to see if it should be under warranty in a "normal" case. Ive just had bad luck with my dealer in the past with obvious warranty stuff not wanting to do it.

Your Buell dealer gets paid by the factory to work on your bike. If the repair is questionable they might decline the claim. So the dealer and technician who is probably paid on a flat rate basis won't get paid. So thats where you may run into problems not that the dealer dosen,t want to work on your bike.
