I started with the fuel maps published in the ECM Spy manual. They made a way-cool improvement compared to its stock ECM.

Then, I turned to xopti, Mike, for help tuning my '04 XB12R w/ Micron.
He sent e-mails that were difficult for me to understand and text files to load up via ECMSpy.
I was to ride and then contact Mike for his "tweaks" in response to my ride reports.
I sent him questions and $50 donations.

My XB runs better today, but it wasn't a plug 'n play deal with Mike: first txt file he provided would not permit bike to run cleanly and it promptly fouled a plug.
I sent him another copy of the ECM maps I was using before and he sent another txt file to try.
This one was mo' better: certainly a low end torque boost, but engine did not perform smoothly across its range.
I'm working on further tweaks myself, via ECMSpy.
(How do I donate to those who provided 'Spy software? This has been a FUN facet to riding a Buell.)
