I posted a thread earlier this week with a work that included a couple of my two favorite things... my Buell Firebolt and Fat Tire beer. For those that replied with Kudos, thanks. (BTW, I don't condone drinking and riding.) I just finished my buddy's TT which looks more like an SCG because he took off the number plate, replaced the beak with a regular front fender, but kept the handguards and then added a Ulyish windscreen and top box. Notice the Special Ops pipe and Corbin seat. He also replaced the stock timing cover with a Sporty one he had lying around. Looks like you're really enjoying yourself! Here's a tip you can play with if you don't mind a little feedback: Catch some back-lighting on your round and cylindrical forms (headers, muffler, tires), it will make them pop more and look more realistic. Try throwing some yellow back-lighting from the sun on the tank, seat, seat bag, edge of the wind screen, it will really play up the lighting and make everything pop really good! Also, Wacom tablets make a world of difference, if you don't have one, I highly reccommend. | ||

Thanks Jeffro. I'll try it out. I've learned so much in just fiddling around. What exactly do you mean by "catch some back-lighting on your round and cylindrical forms"? Can you give me some examples. Feel free to use what I've posted. Look forward to a reply. PS What do those tablets run? | ||

Sorry to leave you hanging, I am a very busy person. The tablets are around 300 new, at least that was what they were a couple years ago. You could probably get one very cheap on ebay. Now they have the Cintiq, which is a large 21" screen that you draw on just like a tablet PC, I have one at work that I use, but they're a couple thousand. I will try to do a demo for you on what I was talking about, if I get a chance get a chance tomorrow. Today I spent doing photoshop renderings of toaster ovens that we have been designing, it's a lot tougher to get around to doing renderings for fun, when you have to do them everyday for work. |
