I am not sure what to call the piece on my bike which is cracked. It is the long silver piece here the right rear rider peg would mount. (The previous owner took the pegs off.)

Couple of questions: Is this call the subframe? or something else? I want to call for a part price to get a new one but not sure what to call it. Also, what is the best place to get the rear rider peg assemblies to include the down braces to mount to the rear?

Thanks, R71

Are you talking about the peg bracket? This is a left rear.

My apologies. I tend to get typing so fast the words do not come out correct.

YES! I need those two items. Now what is the part called that they bolt to? It is the cracked part I was refering to.

Are you talking about the seat rail?

It may be the seat rail. The seat goes on top and the peg mount bolts to it.

under the seat of the xbs is the seat rails which the footpeg mounts bolt to. you would ask for either the right or left seat rail.

Sorry for the delay. Can this be welded and re-tapped?

Could possibly be fixed. It's out of the way so you wouldn't see the weld if you cleaned it up with a grinder.
You could call around and see if you can find someone that can weld cast aluminum.
However, it might be pretty cheap to replace it with a new one or a used piece off eBay.

Not until I get the peg assemblies. The bike didn't have them when I got it.
