Bought my used '03 XBS last Summer. Would like to do the oil/primary fluid change myself to save some money. Could take it to dealer but Wausau HD hasn't gotten too many good reviews with the Buell service there. So here I am, checking to see if there are any other forum members in my neck of the woods (Schofield, WI) that could help me/guide me through... after that I think I could handle it. Let me know.. thanks in advance ! werner |

Its not quite riding season for us.... I'm in Wisconsin also but 2 plus hours South of you. Go to your dealer and order a service manual or get one from a sponsor from this forum. They are all great here BTW. That my friend is your bible and it will make your bike easier and maybe enjoyable to do for you. |

If you can wait till it's riding weather, you could ride right down to my house(Waukesha, WI), and I'd show ya everything you need to do. |

I would go out and buy the manual, it is well worth the money, and it has the side benefit of not being illegal like the electronic copies. I would also recommend getting the parts manual for your bike since in many cases you will need to have a part number in-hand when you head to the dealership if you want to get the right part in a timely fashion. There are exceptions to the rule, but they are few and far between. |
