Was it hard to start on the first ride or since then? Your AFV has probably changed because of the pipe and I'm pretty sure this will affect idle until the bike goes into closed loop and ego correction takes over.

I was tuning mine and the AFV had dropped down to 90. I started the bike and it was idling really low, then it hit me that I forgot to reset the AFV to 100. I reset it as the bike idled and it instantly gained rpms.

It could be getting to much fuel now on the initial start and lowering the cold start enrichment could fix the problem. I'm sure mike can help and i'm positive Gunter will correct me if I'm wrong about the AFV.

Dgro, When it stalls, do you turn it off then back on and wait for the engine light to go off before you hit the starter again?
I don't know much, but get lucky sometimes.

i try starting it and it'll put put and die it took several tried then grabbing the throttle and holding it at 2000rpms for about 20secs then it idled on its own

id like to be able to hit the start button and have it start up on one two tries tops and have it idle own its own cold outside or not

i need to fix this i emailed xopti and will see what he says i don't have the ecmspy cable yet should i buy a used PALM E2 or just use my laptop, money is really tight right now and i just want to get this thing starting znd idling with NO start up issues

Is it overdue for TPS reset? Mine is and it's starting to do the exact same thing.

Might be a coincidence, but 20 seconds is about the time, startup enrichment lasts. This could mean, that mixture is too rich after a cold start. But first check AFV as suggested already. Unfortunately there's no good way to monitor mixture in the first few seconds after a cold start.

i think you are on the right track casue when it wasnt that cold out it started up but I owuld like it to start with a lil higher idle than settle down, when y ou start it cold it seems like its having a hard time idling then once its warm no porblems, im wandering if i should just leave it alone all togteher

bike is bone stock except for Jardine and I must say after the Jardine went on the bike is far more fun to drive and listen too

Did you ever get the cable and check your AFV? I'm betting it is higher after the pipe and the engine is getting to much fuel on a cold start. If your AFV is 110%, then you can try decreasing the cold start enrichment by 10%, maybe start with 5% less.
