It would look cool, but also very late 80's looking. Avoid white wheels if you can, I had a set on my CBR & they were a bitch to keep clean. brake dust would get them filthy in just a few miles.

My last 2 bikes had white wheels (S2 and a riceburner with chain and chain goo) . I agree with Dyna. The biggest pain in the rear to keep clean. Even though the 04 Bolts only have partially white wheels, the white is still a pain, every little speck of dust or oil shows just after you cleaned it.

Rice,
I'll put some pics right here for you tomorrow. I just got done doing this and it looks awesome! stay tuned! by the way the powder coated wheels are sooooooooooo much easier to clean than the cast wheels

Actually, using S100 with gentle water spray from a hose cleans the cast wheels very quickly.

Given the choice of riding or cleaning, I usually always take the former... It's not a Harley, you know! :]

Alright Shazam, I'll be waiting.

To the rest of you, I see your point. At least we don't have a chain throwing grease around. However, my perimeter brake sure seems to like producing brake dust.

When I ordered my dark blue windscreen, the guy taking the order claimed that windscreen looked really sharp. Here is how it looks on a blue one. XB-S2 It is a Gustaffson GForce

Kaese,
Which shield is on the S3? I'm looking for a taller one for me. Thanks.

I’m surprised that you didn’t know that was a S2 not a S3. One can tell by the Harley kickstand that allows it to lean over so far.

The windscreen is a 4 inches higher than the stock. I got it about a year ago. Not sure if they still stock them. Got it from American Sport Bike. Turned out it was a Gustaffson with predrilled holes. The one on the XB, I had to drill the holes ( you need to get special drill bits for plastic-metal bits will crack the plastic). I ordered the XB windscreen directly from Gustaffson because they had a better color selection. They are located somewhere in Florida. Had it shipped to California in about a week. A little extra cleaning of the wheels would be well worth it for that look. Wow! It just makes the white 9R look so much better. Makes it more complete looking.

If anyone suggested to me a blue windscreen on a blur 9R I'd tell em they're nuts but after seeing it I have to say it's not so nuts. That's actually very cool. It compliments it in a way I would never had thought possible.

Kudos to both of you. well done

My buddy suggested to me that I ge a blue one, so I did. He also suggested that I get the blue airbox "BUELL" decal to replace the orange ones. Thinking about that one.

Metalstrom, thinking of selling the S2, need more room in the garage. I live around the Bay Area.

Tempting, that S2 is sweet but I got my heart set on an XB12R. I've been saving for over a year now. If my bonus this August doesn't give me the extra $$$ I need for the down payment I might have to sell a kidney. (you only need one right?)
