I just snagged some NEW Uly side cases for $500. I'm pretty excited. I've wanted to get some but couldn't quite swing it. For $500. I had to pounce on it!

I'll still have to fool around with mounts for a City, but I still think it's a great deal. I can't wait to get those puppies on. I don't have a car so my bikes are all I have for transportation and the added flexibility will be great.

I picked up both new brackets and Uly bags for less than $500. The bags were used though. They are a bit large on a City X, but they hold a lot of stuff!

Got the brackets from twistedthrottle.com. They work great, no mods required other than lengthening the turn sigs with provided pigtails. I highly recommend them.

Cool, thanks for the pics and insight about the mounts. That's the route I'll take. They are HUGE! It sounds as if taking them on and off as desired isn't a big deal when I don't need a "station wagon".

Dude, those things look MASSIVE from the rear! You've GOT to add some lights to that... it'll look like a Star Destroyer!

BTW, your rear tire is lookin' a little... uhh.... used.

I did lane splitting once on my Uly with those bags, I needed to change my underwear after I got to work.

Duly noted. Looks like those bags will hold a change or two of undergarments.

Hey Coops,

Which brackets did u pick up from twistedthrottle.com?

That setup looks pretty sweet. I'm running the Cortech sportbags on my Ss now but that looks like the hot setup.

Hmmm... I'm not longer able to locate them on twistedthrottle! It looks like you can still get them from www.eurotechmotorsports.com. They are the Hepco & Becker importers, and that is where twistedthrottle gets them from anyways - i was a bit surprised when my package arrived with a eurotech flyer. I knew both carried them, but bought from twistedthrottle (RI warehouse) vice eurotech (Chico, CA) because the shipping and transit time were clearly lower for the trip to DC.

You all are correct, no in-the-city shenanigans with those monsters on. But it still beats walking to the grocery store!

Swordsman - Obviously, waaay too much city and highway time. I got almost 10k on that strada rear before the final burnout though!

Heh, don't feel bad, that's what ALL my rear tires have looked like... all commuting and no curves makes Swordsman a dull boy.
