Charlotte,

They take the conservative approach when reporting. Use your head and take it easy, in other words DO NOT be in a hurry. Give everyone around you their space, and if they want to come into yours, just let them by.
51 is the major highway and is usually kept pretty clear. Take some extra warm clothes and some boots just in case.

Or just wait a few hours for everything to tapper off.

Char...They were slushy this morning at 7:30am. I haven't been out since. I'd venture to say that you're better off taking Hwy 41. Nothing is showing on the radar but there is an easternly wind. It can get nasty around Sheboygan to Port Washington with lake effect snow.
