Using one for stock pipes or aftermarket? Stock gasket works pretty well in most cases but the Screaming Eagle gaskets work better with some pipes (like the Beson)

Should be able to find it by googling. My parts book is not going to be in my hands again until Monday.

The SE gasket part number is 17048-98 (what I use)

Don't know the stock part number but Al has them at American Sport Bike.

stock header

i try not to give money to my local HD stealership(they suck), so i picked up some gaskets at and independent HD repair shop near my house, but they are very different than the stock ones that were in there. not sure if they will work.

The Screaming Eagle have a square cross-section. The stockers have a tapered ID.

ah ha, thanks for that slaughter, al's pics explained it all. the guy gave me the SE flat type, his reason for that choice was there is less chance in to much compression of the gasket and less blockage of the exhaust port.

thanks again for the help
