So I just bought a Drummer and it came in today. It seems as if there is something very small rattling around in it. I shook it a little and I couldn't get it out. Should I take the end cap off or any suggestions on how to maybe get it out of there?

Thanks

My suggestion would be to mount it on the bike and ride it. I bet after a good ride it will be gone.

Thats what I wanted to hear. Thanks tattoo. I mean its very little and i'm sure it will blow out but i'm just making sure it won't damage anything. Bad news is, there's almost a foot of snow on the ground.

Does anyone know if the end caps are sealed with anything like gasket maker or high-temp silicone?

I bet it's your muffler bearings.

It's a known issue with Drummer mufflers.

The bearings from the servo? it sounds like one of two little balls rolling around in there so that makes sense.

Dude, we were joking. My guess is that it's a chunk of weld or piece of metal cut form the stock muffler. It should blow out the end the first time you roll it up to redline.

If it doesn't, take the end cap off and fish it out.

If there's a further problem after that, call Kevin. He stands behind his products 1000%.

Winter? What's that? It's supposed to be 80 degrees here tomorrow! Two days ago the high was in the 50's! At least when it gets cold up north, it stays cold. You guys need to keep all your cold air from creeping down here.

Could be broken or defective power band. From what I hear the Drummers have a much better one than stock.

"Winter? What's that?"

That's when we park our bikes in order to do big projects and take on other activities like snowmobiling and snowboarding for a few months. : ) Hit the hills again on Sunday (gotta love season passes!) and the snow was great! About a 30" soft base and a good 8" of nice powder on top...tasty.

Surely muffler bearings must truly exist.

I read about them on the internet so it must be true. : D

p.s., I didn't mean to call anybody Shirley joker

On topic: I would definitely give Kevin a call.

It could be something as simple as a piece of packing material from shipping.

Ya never know until you inquire.

It's welding splatter. The ends were taped up so its not packing material. I'm not worried about it, im just ready to put it on and for spring to be here.
