Well, its been a little over a month without my bike now, and I am really starting to miss her. Got all my gear replaced, ready to go riding, but no bike. Being told it will be mid January, maybe even later before I get it back : (. Note to anybody with a pre 06 Buell, get rear axle sliders! Apparently the earlier swingarms are hard to come by nowadays.

I feel its a downgrade to the newer style swingarms!

I think one thing that keeps the newer swing arm from being a direct swap is the oil line routing changed. Nothing time and money couldn't solve.

I have to agree with Jcbikes on the newer swing arms are not as attractive as the '04/'05's and their belt guards too.

Yea, I prefer the 03/04/05 swing arms as well.

The newer ones WORK better. I'm a big fan of function over form. If you ride a Buell, you PROBABLY are too (or you'd own a different brand). I don't think I've ever met anyone who bought a Buell on the way it LOOKS!

Hope your bike doesn't take too long. If you really want to go riding i bet we can get Tom to let you borrow one of the blasts

Yup.

http://www.darkhorsemoto.com/html/signature_series _5.html

I plan on getting the matching front ones in silver to blend in with the forks, as well as the bar-end sliders in black. Contemplating getting the passenger peg ones. I usually have the passenger peg brackets removed though.

Hope you get her back together soon.

Looking forward to riding with you guys again.

You all planning on running down to Suches in March for March Badness?

You really ought to if you haven't. Really cool to see that many Buells in one place. I think we are between 200 and 300.

When in March? My G/F goes on spring break sometime in March, and we are planning a trip to gatlinburg. Might take my bike with me.

My guess is they changed manufacturers and style on them, so it made them hard to get after their inv ran out? Just my guess, but I bet it has to be special order made from Brembo.

probably so but i've always heard that any manufacture (car or bike) is obligated to produce parts even 10 years after production. i dont know i'm just throwing it out there

Well good news! might have my bike back sooner than expected. When I talked to the service guy today, he said they are only waiting on the headers now. The ones they got in had a huge dent in them, so they are waiting on a new non damaged set.

I will see what I can do about March. Adrienne's spring break will be before it. I sure wouldn't mind 2 trips to that area : )
