Doesn't the hypercharger (which is neither hyper or any type of charger) bolt up where the XB frame is?

I believe that they need a side manifold rather than the downdraft.

There is a vacuum that's not used by the XB, it has a little black cap on it...usually.
Right beside the intake.
Sometimes they fall off...
Anyway, doesn't the hyper charger open using vacuum?
That ought to work if it does.

The hyper charger will work on a Buell with a little modding.
It stick up through the air box like an old school hot rod, I've a picture of one somewhere.

i guess im not sure what you mean by bypass of the injection? if you bypass the injection it wont have any fuel will it?!

anyway. people have put the hypercharger on TOP of the motor and cut a hole in the air box lid so it sits on their like a blower scoop.

only reason is for looks though as the hypercharger has never been known as a great performer.

I've been looking into doing this since I bought my bike, but haven't gotten around to it.
If you need any help Matt at http://www.trojan-horse.co.uk/
used to sell a kit, so he may be able to help you with hooking it up.

If it opens on vacuum, what happens when you are WFO? Does the minimal vacuum in full throttle keep it open?

The only one I've seen on a Buell is on an S1, and I believe it's carbureted.

Does the minimal vacuum in full throttle keep it open

Depends on the cams and stuff. Some do, some don't.

The vacuum closes the Flaps. It has spring tension on the Flaps to hold them open if I remember correctly it is adjustable.

Functional or not, I've always LOVED the look of the hyperchargers. Can you get them in black...?

The hyper charger has a big slot in the bottom of the case of the outter housing, So it effectively negates any charging of any type. the race filters are better, If you dont think so call al lighton at americansportbike.com and ask him about them, I was this close to buying one and im so glad i didn't.

+1 on power robber!

Now i finally got some time to take apart my airbox, and the new airbox is almost finished, but i'm still not sure where this bypass is.

Is this one on the picture the right one?

Thanks for the help!

If you hear a hissing (or sucking) noise with the engine running, when the cap is off; I would say yes, you have found it.

Note: the engine may not start with this fitting unblocked. At the very least the engine idle speed will be unstable.
