I'm here with Kirt and neither of us have our bikes with us. We work off-shore in the Gulf of Mexico. Ok, he is here telling me that my headlights do not turn with my front wheel. That is, they stay strait with the frame. I know Kirt is wrong. But he doesn't. However, we both know the bad web folks will have an opinion on this.

The lightning headlight is mounted to the forks, so it turns with the front wheel. The Firebolt fairing/headlight assy mounts to the frame. The headlight stays straight with the frame on the Firebolt

Yes they do. They are attached to the front forks.

I thought that background looked familiar! I go to NGCSU, which is in Dahlonega and less than five minutes from where you took those pics. The reservoir is a great place to go and smoke cigars at night. Anyway, great pics and nice bike man!

Those pictures were taken the day I picked it up. I flew from Columbus to Savannah and met the owner. That day I rode from Savannah to Suches, and stopped at that reservoir because I thought it might've been the last place I had cell service and I needed to let some people know I was still alive. Over the next couple days I made my way back up to Columbus.

Speed triple I test rode last year was fixed..

Is that the reservoir when you head over Wolfpen Gap from Vogel?

Awesome twisties for road bicycling too!

Brumbear, I take it you are a mutual fan? : )

Mike, that is an awesome story. I'm sure you enjoyed yourself throughout the entire trip. I particularly find this area beautiful and I know that I enjoy the nearby roads!

That's just the half of it! When I picked it up it had a michilan Pilot Power on the rear that was well into the wear bars! It was soo squared off, it was literally cupped IN across the center of the tire! Having a 1500 mile trip planned for the next 3 days, I had to cut it down.

I went from Savannah to Suches as planned, where I met up with everyone at Buelltoberfest. Twig was kind enough to bring and setup a full campsite for me, since I couldn't bring camping gear myself.
The next day (Sunday) I was planning on heading up to the Dragon and then straight east to Greenville to meet up with family.

Instead I rode straight over to Greenville.

Monday I was planning on riding the Blue Ridge Parkway up to Roanoke, and then cut across back to Columbus... but again, I cut it down and just shot straight up Route 23.

Total mileage for the weekend was spot on one thousand. And the cords were just beginning to be visible on the rear tire.

It was a great weekend. Made possible by Badweb.
