Ok so I changed the fluid and found that white crud, and you all said moisture. OK well I took it for a ride this evening.

NO neutral light, and no start with kick stand down. I can only start the bike with the kick stand up and the clutch pulled. Put the kick stand down at all and the bike dies.

WTF!

I'll check fuses tomorrow.

No its the Neutral switch. When your Neutral light isn't on you have to pull the clutch lever in to be able to start the bike so it doesn't just lurch forward on you.

Always look for the adam's apple!

Your bike has the kickstand switch that not everyone here has, I don't have it. The kickstand switch denies the bike to run in gear with the kickstand down, which I am sure you already knew.

Well, the only way the bike knows it is not in neutral is by the neutral sensor, so if it will not display neutral then the bike thinks it's in gear and will start with the kickstand down.

So check your neutral sensor.

Neutral sensor is behind the belt cover on the engine.

Kickstand switch is on the kickstand.

Clutch switch is on the clutch lever.
