I was a little disapointed in bikes on display other than all the Buells in one place. Ducati display was awsome. The women display was totally awsome. To many chopper type bikes with pure art paint jobs. Best display of bikes was the thousand or so that was parked outside in parking lot.

Keep it safe!

Turn out seemed smaller than years past & the show was lacking some big players.
There was no BMW or MV Augusta display and I do not recall No Mar. The show did not have the same feel to me of years past but did offer something that would be of great assistance to all street riders. Lee Parks the author of Total Control was there promoting his school. It is meant as kind of a stop gap between MSF and track days/race school. Teaches the same info in the book (great book btw) but now you have guidance of Lee Parks.

For anyone that dislikes that the 1125 because of the pods then you need to see the White/blue 1125R IN PERSON (not pics). For some reason the pods seems to flow into the lines of the bike much smoother and the bike is damn sexy.

There were some other interesting bikes at the show, like the Gladius which is the replacement for the non faired SV650. Then there is the Kawasaki ER6N. Strange looking creature but my 5'3" duck legged wife loved the bike.

The 1125 decked in carbon was tits! Saw more interesting bikes in the parking lot than inside though. Saw you bike rob and the red CR. You carded mine so I guess you saw the new paint job.

The carbon clad 1125R was nice. They should offer the fairing as an option. I tried the red CR with the S type bars and I liked it, needs the S type tail though. My XB9 is still too new to think about trading.

I thought the Dallas show sucked. It seems like every year, the IMS gets a little smaller and a little less relevant. Very disappointed to see BMW as a no-show and that some of the bikes I was the most interested in weren't accessible for sitting on (DN-01, 1100 Monster). I was also hoping that Harley would have the XR1200 on display but I guess I should've known better.

The only saving grace was that while standing in line waiting to buy a $13 admission ticket, a lady walked up to me and gave me an extra online ticket she'd printed out. So I guess I can't bitch too loudly....

I'm betting the S bars will be a factory option in the not too distant future.
